Our philosophy

What we know to be true:
“True developments youth football club, would understand how differences in age, ability, maturity and experience impact on the planning and delivery of football practices, and aimed to deliver effective coaching practices that meet individual player needs”. When Rap-aid Youth Club began, you would have been pleasantly surprised how we embraced “Football for All” attitude by creating and providing football opportunity for all young kids in and around our community. Rap-aid became successful precisely because we placed the need of our players before the need of our coaches/parents.
OUR STRATEGY
Our strategy is concerned with looking into the future and developing and implementing the plans that will drive Rap-aid in the desired direction.
As we are in the business of helping Young People create WINNING MENTALITY, STABILTY and SOCIAL STRENGHT.
As well as justifying our philosophy, we intend to go further by justifying how our strategy will help to achieve our objectives. Our on/off pitch strategic plan is helping to propel Rap-aid Youth in its longer-term desired direction that is ultimately contributing to achieving competitive edge.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT TRAINING CENTRE
Our player development training runs right through the 12 calendar months and is open to boys and girls aged between 5 and 15 years. Training sessions take place at 3 sites namely Northumberland Park, behind Spurs Stadium (Astroturf and indoors), Pymmes Park, Edmonton (grass surface), and Selby centre, off White hart Lane (indoors).
With our experienced and well qualified coaches, we are determined to keep developing and nurturing young players by giving them good head starts with extensive training sessions that will enhance their development appropriately.
The objective of our development training centre is to provide all year round football training programmes and matches that will develop players ensuring that they reach their full potential. We will focus on academy style coaching, academy language and terminology will be used, top-quality instructions will be given, and players will be exposed to the highest levels of competitions. We will filter players into our existing teams or create new teams, introducing players to different levels of matches i.e. all U7 & U8 will play exhibition matches, while U9 – U16 will play in competitive leagues in accordance with the FA rules.
Our elite team will be created from this group of players and will gain further exposure and experience by playing against Premiership football academy teams and also benefit from extra training sessions within premiership academy or development centre settings.
