PROJECTS: Season 2011-2012
Free Kick & Running for Kidz
An exciting introduction to athletics and football project for 9 - 16 year olds that will seek to combine the skills and techniques of both sports via interactive coaching sessions over 12 weeks and to offer competitive opportunity and community leadership for many of the project beneficiaries. This project will focus on early phase of young people´s physical development and building of a foundation for movement abilities that enhances agility, balance, co-ordination and speed (ABC´s). In a real football game, players spent 98% of time running around and a mere 2% with football itself.

Extra Toppings Sports Programme
Supplementary Tutoring Support in Mathematics and English
We are aiming to offer some young people our sports programmes and supplementary tutoring support in Mathematics and English in 8 week blocks spread over the 3 academic terms. This will help in raising their educational attainment at school as well as raise the self–esteem of the young person.
Working with a racially diverse group of young people, we will be able to give participants a socially inclusive perspective, break down racial tension barriers, involve young people from the EU and BME communities as well as increase sport participation (both male/female). Subsequently this will help to increase educational accomplishments and create a harmonious environment among young people from different backgrounds.

- Improved educational attainment levels.
- Improved and raised self esteem and in confidence levels among beneficiaries of the project.
