PARENTS/CARERS

Obligations towards the game

A parent/carer/spectator expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on a child’s attitude towards:

  1. Other players
  2. Officials
  3. Managers
  4. Spectators.

This club will ensure that parents/carers/spectators within the club are always positive and encouraging towards all of the children - not just their own - and will encourage parents/carers/spectators to:

  1. Applaud the opposition as well as their own team.
  2. Applaud effort and good play as well as success
  3. Avoid coaching the child during the game.
  4. No tactical imput: Let the coaches do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do.
  5. Must not attempt to influence the referee and coaches
  6. Respect the referee’s decision at all time.
  7. Give attention to each of the children involved in football not just the most talented.
  8. Encourage the players to respect the oppositon and match officials.

Anyone in breach of the code shall be held responsible by the Club and the League and be dealth with accordingly

Parents should

  1. Pay subs of £2 to team representatives only on training days
  2. Be aware that a register will be taken on training days, so it is important your child attend all training sessions.
  3. Be aware if a child is absent from training a ‘Yellow’ card will be issued, if the player is absent on a second day of training another ‘Yellow’ card will be issued, two ‘Yellow’ cards equals a ‘Red’ card and that means that the child will not be able to play a match on the corresponding match day.
  4. Complaints - Initially approach your team representatives in the first instance.
  5. Be aware that complaints will be responded to within 7 days.
  6. Be aware that the football kit remains the property of the club and in the event that the child no longer plays for the club either voluntarily or involuntarily then the kits is to be returned to the club immediately.
  7. The football season runs from September to May of the following year. After the football season, we as a club are obliged to attend football tournaments usually during the months of May, June and July. Parents are to contribute towards the cost of tournaments as and when required.
  8. Parents should be aware that there are two forms of registration; there is the ‘Club Registration’ and the ‘Team Registration’.
  9. A club can register an indefinite number of players; however by being a Club Member does not automatically mean you would be a Regular Team Member (please discuss with the club secretary)
  10. The club will ensure that parents/carers/spectators agree and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy.
